Description

The Xserve (Late 2006) brought the power of the Intel processors to the Xserve line.  Running the Xeon 5100 series in dual 2.0, dual 2.66 and dual 3.0Ghz configurations, this is the most powerful member of the Xserve line.  The Xserve (Late 2006) was available with either a Combo drive or a SuperDrive.  The maximum storage capacity was now 2.25Tb.

History

The new, Intel-based line of Xserves were faster, had better graphics and had more storage capacity.  They also had redundant power supplies and used the 1U rack design.
